They are all the important ingredients that makes up the Souper Bowl of Caring, which is following all the Masses on February 6-7th.

This is the major fundraiser for our Monthly Community Meal and thanks to last year and all the help of our FIAT Teens, the Social Justice Commission and FIAT were able to raise over $5200 which stayed right here at St. Ambrose to fund out monthly meals.

This year we are trying to make the best Souper Bowl of Caring yet, and are aiming for at least $6000.Â
Here’s how it works. The FIAT Teens form teams to collect money in the soup pots before and after each Mass on Super Bowl weekend.  Each team will also have additional projects, such as a bake sale and sandwich sub sale.  Just a few examples of our FIAT ingenuity from last year.

All the money that is collected stays right here in our parish to feed our brothers and sisters who have come to depend on the Community Meal for friendly fellowship along with a delicious hot meal. 

Super Bowl Sunday is a day when millions of dollars are spent to enjoy the football experience.  So before we gather together to have fun with our friends and family, let’s remember those who cannot even afford a bowl of soup.

Last night we kicked off the 2nd chapter of the FIAT Revolution with a highlighter party. Dozens of FIATers gathered to highlight a new year and a new semester of FIAT

Join us this Sunday for a FIAT Highlighter Party. Come highlight the new year and a new semester of FIAT. We’ll have an evening full of food, music, Rock Band, prizes and lots of blacklight fun. Bring a white t-shirt and highlighter and enjoy a fun night.

The night will begin following 5pm Mass and we’ll gather in Hilkert Hall through the doors nearest the Parish Office. See ya Sunday!!
